2019 is here and we are still dealing with the confusion and stress of the government shutdown. A common topic being brought up is how to deal with current and new low-income tenants. As a property manager, this year we faced an unique situation. We value our occupants and process them all equally. What happens when they can’t pay?

Political tensions and a lack of funding for the Housing and Urban Development, has left HUD with their hands tied and a countdown for a housing crisis in March 2019. Government agencies are still functioning off of reserves for the next few months, but could soon leave home owners in a pickle.
